The Woman in the Clearing

In the heart of the ancient wood,
Where moonlight weaves through branches’ hood,
She stands alone, her log in hand,
In a clearing carved by nature’s hand.

The night is still, the world at rest,
But in her voice, a truth confessed.
She speaks to none, save one who soars,
A mighty eagle, perched, implores.

With wings outspread and eyes like flame,
It watches her, drawn to her name.
Her words, they rise like misty breath,
Through trees that guard the silent death.

She tells of stars and earth below,
Of hidden paths that only grow,
In places where the shadows play,
And night consumes the light of day.

The forest listens, leaves held tight,
To every word she casts in flight.
The eagle nods, its gaze unbroken,
A guardian of the words unspoken.

No human ear to catch her lore,
But nature’s heart beats evermore,
In the clearing, where she stands alone,
Her voice a seed, forever sown.

As dawn’s first light begins to creep,
The eagle stirs from ancient sleep.
She fades into the forest’s breast,
Her secrets kept, her spirit blessed.
